Jane Birkin at the Portage Park Theater
Jane Birkin was one sexy, confident lady back in the day and she has definitely maintained a joie de vivre that is admirable. If you aren’t familiar with her, here’s her bio and some photos of her career that will give you a good idea of what she’s all about.
She put this show together of songs by Serge Gainsbourg and performed it in Japan for the victims of the tsunami. She then brought it, along with the Japanese musicians, to the States. They are touring to remind people of the tragedy and to help raise funds for the children of Japan.
